Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup eggnog
- 1 shot espresso or strong coffee
- Whipped cream
- Cinnamon
Step 1: Prepare the Milk and Eggnog Mixture
Combine equal parts of milk and eggnog in a saucepan.
Heat the mixture on the stovetop or in the microwave until steaming.
Be careful not to let it boil.
Step 2: Prepare the Coffee using a French Press
While the milk and eggnog are heating, prepare your coffee.
Start by heating water to 200°F (93°C).
Add your favorite coffee grounds to the French press.
Pour a splash of hot water over the coffee grounds to bloom them, and let it sit for 30 seconds.
This step enhances the flavor of your coffee.
Step 3: Brew the Coffee
Pour the remaining hot water into the French press and close the lid.
Let the coffee steep for about 4 minutes.
After steeping, gently press the plunger down halfway, then raise it and press down completely with even pressure.
Pour the brewed coffee into a serving cup.
Step 4: Combine and Serve
Add the steamed milk and eggnog mixture to the brewed coffee in your serving cup.
Stir gently to combine the flavors.
Top with whipped cream to your liking, and sprinkle a bit of cinnamon on top for garnish.
