Grab a Clean Sink or Tub

First things first, you’ll need a clean sink or tub. This is where the magic is going to happen.
Make sure it’s free of any soap or dirt. You don’t want to get your shrunken clothes any dirtier!
If neither is available, a large bucket will work too.
Fill with Lukewarm Water
Next, fill your sink or tub with lukewarm water. Not too hot, not too cold – think of the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
This will help relax the fibers in your clothes so they can stretch back out.
Add Baby Shampoo or Conditioner
Add a good squeeze of baby shampoo or gentle conditioner to the water. Mix it up so it spreads out evenly.
The shampoo or conditioner will help soften the fabric, making it easier to stretch. Trust me, your clothes will thank you!
Submerge and Soak
Now, submerge your shrunken item in the soapy water. Gently swish it around and make sure it’s fully soaked.
Leave it in there for about 15-20 minutes. This gives the solution time to work its magic on those tight fibers.
Stretch It Out on a Towel
Once the soaking time is up, gently remove the clothing from the water. Lay it flat on a towel and roll it up to squeeze out excess water.
Do not wring it out. Now, lay another dry towel on a flat surface and gently stretch your garment back to its original size.
Air Dry
Finally, let your clothes air dry. Resist the temptation to throw them in the dryer!
Instead, lay them flat or hang them up in a well-ventilated area. This will help retain the size you’ve just worked so hard to get back.
Simple, right?
