Ingredients
- 1 medium pear (tart-sweet varieties like Anjou work well)
- 3/4 cup cottage cheese (full-fat for creaminess)
- 1/4 cup celery (finely diced)
- 4 10-inch whole wheat low-carb tortillas (Mission brand is a good option)
- 4 lettuce leaves (butter lettuce or romaine work nicely)
- 1/2 tsp garlic pepper seasoning
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 2 cups cooked turkey breast (shredded or diced)
- 2 tbsp walnuts (toasted for enhanced flavor)
Step 1: Prepare the Turkey Mixture
In a large bowl, combine the diced cooked turkey breast, Daisy Cottage Cheese, dried cranberries, chopped celery, cubed pear, chopped walnuts, and garlic pepper.
Stir until everything is well mixed and evenly distributed.
Step 2: Prepare the Tortillas
Lay out the 10-inch low-carb whole wheat tortillas.
Place one lettuce leaf in the center of each tortilla to create a fresh and crunchy layer.
Step 3: Add and Distribute the Turkey Mixture
Spoon about 3/4 cup of the turkey mixture onto the center of each lettuce leaf.
Make sure the mixture is evenly spread to ensure a balanced flavor in every bite.
Step 4: Fold and Roll the Tortillas
Fold the bottom third of each tortilla partially over the turkey mixture.
Next, fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it up tightly to secure the filling inside.
This step ensures that the wrap holds together and is easy to eat.
Step 5: Slice and Serve
Using a sharp knife, cut the wraps diagonally in half to create two servings from each tortilla.
Arrange the wraps on a serving platter and enjoy them immediately.
These wraps can also be wrapped in foil or parchment paper for a convenient on-the-go meal.
