Today, I’m sharing a super simple recipe for BBQ sauce made with tomato soup.
Yes, you heard that right! It’s quick, tasty, and packs a punch.
Perfect for ribs, burgers, or even just dipping.
Let’s dive into this deliciousness!

| Preparation Time | 10-15 minutes |
| Cooking Time | 15-20 minutes |
| Total Time | 25-35 minutes |
| Level of Difficulty | Easy |
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp canola oil (or other neutral oil)
- 1 tsp mustard (Dijon or yellow mustard works well)
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 2 tbsp brown sugar (packed well for accurate measure)
- 10.75 oz canned condensed tomato soup
- 1/3 cup chopped onion
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 small minced garlic clove
- 1 dash hot sauce (like Tabasco, optional for a little kick)
Step 1: Cook Onion and Garlic
In a saucepan, heat a small amount of oil over medium heat.
Add chopped onion and minced garlic.
Cook until the onion is tender and translucent, stirring occasionally to prevent them from burning.
Step 2: Add Remaining Ingredients
Once the onion and garlic are tender, add the remaining ingredients to the saucepan.
Stir well to combine all the flavors.
Reduce the heat to low, and let the mixture cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure it doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pan.
Step 3: Apply Sauce and Store
Use the sauce as a baste for chicken or ribs, applying it generously during the final stages of grilling or roasting.
Any remaining sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Ensure the sauce is cooled to room temperature before sealing and storing.
