Preparation Time 15-20 minutes
Cooking Time 11-12 minutes
Total Time 36-42 minutes
Level of Difficulty Easy

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup melted salted butter (1 stick)
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup red, green, and white christmas sprinkles

Step 1: Prepare the Baking Equipment

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper to prevent the cookies from sticking and to make cleanup easier later on.

Step 2: Combine Dry Ingredients

In a small bowl, combine the flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt.

Use a fork to stir these ingredients together until they are well mixed and evenly distributed.

Step 3: Mix Wet Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, add the melted butter, brown sugar, and white sugar.

Mix these ingredients together until they are well combined.

Then, add the egg and mix well, followed by the vanilla extract.

Ensure all the wet ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.

Step 4: Integrate Dry Ingredients with Wet Ingredients

Gradually add the flour mixture from Step 2 to the wet ingredients in the large mixing bowl.

Mix steadily until everything is well combined and no dry flour pockets remain.

Step 5: Add Chocolate Chips and Sprinkles

Using a rubber spatula or wooden spoon, stir in the mini semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and sprinkles until they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.

This ensures that each cookie will have a balanced amount of add-ins.

Step 6: Shape and Bake the Cookies

Using a 2-tablespoon cookie scooper, place mounds of dough onto the prepared cookie sheet.

This recipe should yield about 16 cookies.

Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 11 minutes.

If you prefer your cookies a bit less gooey, bake for 12 minutes.

After removing from the oven, let the cookies sit on the cookie sheet for at least 10 minutes to finish cooking and firm up.

You can adjust the baking time if your oven runs hotter or colder.

Step 7: Cool and Enjoy

Once the cookies have rested on the cookie sheet for at least 10 minutes, they should be set and ready for transfer to a cooling rack.

Allow them to cool completely before serving.

Enjoy your freshly baked cookies!
