Let’s dive into this deliciousness!
Preparation Time | 10-15 minutes |
Cooking Time | 16-19 minutes |
Total Time | 36-35 minutes |
Level of Difficulty | Easy |
Ingredients
- 1 roll (16.5 oz) refrigerated sugar cookie dough
- 1 1/4 cups vanilla frosting (from 16-oz tub)
- 1/4 cup crushed peppermint candies (about 10 pieces)
Step 1: Prepare the Pan and Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line a 13×9-inch pan with foil, making sure the foil extends over the edges.
This will make it easier to lift the bars out later.
Spray the foil-lined pan with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Step 2: Prepare and Bake the Cookie Dough
Crumble the cookie dough and press it evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 16 to 19 minutes, or until the cookie dough is set and the edges are golden brown.
Allow the cookie base to cool completely in the pan, which will take about 1 hour.
Step 3: Frost and Cut the Bars
Once the cookie base has cooled completely, use the foil to lift it out of the pan.
Peel away the foil from the edges.
Spread frosting evenly over the top of the cookie base.
Sprinkle crushed candies over the frosting for a decorative and flavorful touch.
Step 4: Slice and Store the Bars
Cut the frosted cookie bar into 6 rows by 4 rows, making a total of 24 bars.
Store the bars in a single layer in an airtight container at room temperature.
Cover them loosely to keep them fresh, but avoid stacking to preserve their appearance.
