Hey friends!
Are you a fan of warm, gooey cheese? If so, you’re in for a treat today!
I’m excited to share my recipe for low FODMAP baked brie.
It’s creamy, savory, and super easy to whip up.
Perfect for a cozy night in or impressing your friends at a gathering.
Let’s dive into this deliciousness together!

Suggestions for Ingredient Substitution
Brie cheese can be replaced with goat cheese or a lactose-free cream cheese for those following a strict low FODMAP diet or with dairy sensitivities. These alternatives offer a similar creamy texture and tangy flavor. Adjust the baking time slightly, as these substitutes may melt differently than brie.
Low FODMAP cranberry sauce can be substituted with a homemade low FODMAP berry compote using strawberries or raspberries. This maintains the fruity flavor profile while adhering to low FODMAP guidelines. Simmer the berries with a small amount of sugar and lemon juice until thickened.
Pecan nuts can be swapped with pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds for those with nut allergies. These seeds provide a similar crunchy texture and nutty flavor while offering different nutritional benefits. Toast the seeds lightly before using to enhance their flavor.

Estimated nutrition for the whole recipe (without optional ingredients):
- Calories: 600-700
- Protein: 15-20 g
- Fat: 50-55 g
- Carbohydrates: 25-30 g
Ingredients
- 5 chopped pecan nuts (lightly toasted for enhanced flavor)
- 1 sprig rosemary (freshly picked for best aroma)
- 1 wheel brie cheese (7 oz, round or oval works well)
- 3 tbsp low FODMAP cranberry sauce (Fody Foods brand is excellent for low FODMAP)
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
Step 1: Prepare the Brie
Begin by placing the brie in an oven-proof dish.
Carefully cut a few slits into the top of the brie, ensuring not to pierce the sides or bottom.
This will help the flavors seep in during baking.
Step 2: Add Flavorings
Poke some rosemary sprigs into the slits you made on the top of the brie.
If desired, drizzle the top of the brie with a generous amount of maple syrup to add a touch of sweetness.
Step 3: Bake the Brie
Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F).
Place the prepared brie in the oven and bake for 15 minutes.
This will melt the inside of the brie, making it creamy and delicious.
Step 4: Add Toppings
Carefully remove the brie from the oven.
Top it with cranberry sauce for a tart and sweet contrast.
Sprinkle chopped pecan nuts over the top to add a crunchy texture.
Step 5: Serve
Serve the baked brie immediately while it’s still warm and gooey.
Pair it with some toasted sourdough slices or gluten-free crackers for dipping.
Enjoy this delightful appetizer with family and friends!
