Preparation Time | 20-30 minutes |
Cooking Time | 15 minutes |
Total Time | 35-45 minutes |
Level of Difficulty | Easy |
Ingredients
- 2 sticks unsalted butter
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter powder
- Pinch of salt
- Hershey’s kisses
Step 1: Preheat the Oven and Prepare Ingredients
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and allow it to warm for at least 5 minutes to ensure it reaches the correct temperature.
Meanwhile, gather all your ingredients.
In a mixing bowl, combine 2 sticks of unsalted butter (at room temperature) and 1 cup of granulated sugar.
Step 2: Mix Wet Ingredients
To the butter and sugar mixture, add 2 egg yolks and 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract.
Continue to mix until the ingredients are well incorporated.
Next, incorporate 2 tablespoons of peanut butter powder and a pinch of salt into the mixture.
Mix until everything is creamy and well combined.
Step 3: Add Dry Ingredients and Form Dough
Gradually add 2 cups of all-purpose flour to the wet mixture.
Knead the dough with your hands until it becomes soft and moist.
At this point, the dough should be easily manageable and smooth to the touch.
Step 4: Shape the Cookies
Form the dough into small balls, making sure they are roughly the same size to ensure even baking.
Place the dough balls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Use a measuring tablespoon to create an indentation in the center of each dough ball.
This will make space for the chocolate later.
Step 5: Bake the Cookies
Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until they are golden brown on the bottom and white on top.
Keep an eye on them to make sure they do not overbake.
Step 6: Add Chocolate and Cool
Once baked, remove the cookies from the oven and immediately place a Hershey’s Kiss in the center of each cookie.
Allow the cookies to rest for at least 10 minutes before serving to let the chocolate set properly.
Enjoy your delicious homemade cookies!
