Let’s dive into this tasty goodness!

| Preparation Time | 10-15 minutes |
| Cooking Time | 55-60 minutes |
| Total Time | 65-75 minutes |
| Level of Difficulty | Medium |
Ingredients
- 1 pinch salt
- 24 oz cottage cheese
- 2 eggs (large, at room temperature)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp butter (melted and cooled)
- 1/2 cup cold milk (whole milk for richness)
- 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C) so it’s ready for baking once you prepare the mixture.
Step 2: Prepare the Cottage Cheese Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, add 24 ounces (2 cups) of cottage cheese.
Crack in 2 eggs, then add 1 cup of sugar and a pinch of salt.
Incorporate about 1 tablespoon of butter, but do not fully mix it in—this will melt beautifully in the oven.
Step 3: Add Flour or Cornstarch
If you are using flour, add 4 tablespoons of flour to the mixture.
For a gluten-free version, substitute the flour with cornstarch.
Slowly mix in ½ cup of cold milk until everything is well combined.
Step 4: Bake the Mixture
Pour the combined mixture into a 9-inch pie plate or baking dish.
Place it in the preheated oven and bake at 375°F for 20 minutes.
After the initial 20 minutes, reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for an additional 35 minutes.
Step 5: Check for Doneness
After the total baking time, check that the top has a light golden brown color and the center appears slightly jiggly.
This indicates that it’s cooked perfectly.
Step 6: Cool and Serve
Remove the dish from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
You can enjoy it warm or chilled, and if desired, drizzle with some maple syrup on top for added sweetness.
