| Level of Difficulty | Easy |
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp chopped mint
- 1 tbsp chopped dill (freshly chopped for best flavor)
- 1/2 medium cucumber (peeled and finely grated, then squeezed to remove excess water)
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 cup plain cottage cheese (full-fat for extra creaminess)
- 1/2 minced garlic (freshly minced for strongest flavor)
- 1 pinch salt
Step 1: Prepare the Cucumber
Halve the cucumber lengthways and use a small spoon to scoop out the seeds.
This will help reduce excess moisture in the final dip.
Step 2: Grate and Mince Ingredients
Grate the cucumber without peeling it.
Dice the mint and dill if you are using them, and mince the garlic.
These will add fresh flavors to your dip.
Step 3: Remove Excess Liquid from Cucumber
Place the grated cucumber in a clean tea towel.
Wring it out over the sink to remove as much excess liquid as possible.
This step is crucial to prevent the dip from becoming too watery.
Step 4: Combine Ingredients
In a bowl, combine the grated cucumber, diced mint, dill, and minced garlic.
Stir well to ensure everything is evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
Step 5: Serve
Spoon the mixture into your serving bowl.
Your cucumber dip is now ready to be enjoyed!
