Preparation Time | 10-15 minutes |
Cooking Time | 12-15 minutes |
Total Time | 22-30 minutes |
Level of Difficulty | Easy |
Ingredients
- 3 egg whites
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tablespoon honey
Step 1: Preheat the Oven and Prepare Egg Whites
Start by preheating your oven to 320°F (160°C).
While the oven is heating up, separate 3 egg whites from the yolks, placing the egg whites in a mixing bowl.
Stir in food color of your choice into the egg whites until you achieve the desired hue.
Step 2: Beat Egg Whites and Mix in Honey
Using a hand mixer or a stand mixer, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
Once the egg whites are properly stiffened, gently fold in 1 tablespoon of honey, ensuring it is thoroughly incorporated without deflating the mixture.
Step 3: Combine Egg Whites with Flour
Gradually add 1 cup of flour to the beaten egg whites and honey mixture.
Mix slowly until a crumbly dough forms.
Take your time with this step to ensure the dough is evenly mixed.
Step 4: Form Dough Balls and Prepare for Baking
Roll the crumbly dough into 1-inch balls; this recipe will yield approximately 16 dough balls.
Place the dough balls on a cookie sheet and use the palm of your hand to press them flat, making them into cookie shapes.
Step 5: Bake the Cookies
Once the dough balls are flattened on the cookie sheet, bake them in your preheated oven at 320°F (160°C) for 12 minutes.
After baking, let the cookies cool slightly before enjoying your colorful and tasty treats.
