Level of Difficulty | Easy |
Ingredients
- 1 6-8 oz graham cracker pie crust
- 6 tablespoons caramel sauce (divided: 1/4 cup for crust, 2 tbsp for topping)
- 10 tablespoons chopped pecans (divided: 1/2 cup for crust, 2 tbsp for topping)
- 2 packets (3.4 oz each) vanilla instant pudding mix
- 1 cup chilled milk
- 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg powder
- 1 8 oz tub whipped topping (thawed, divided)
- 1/4 cup heath toffee bits (optional)
Step 1: Prepare the Pie Crust Base
Start by pouring 1/4 cup caramel topping onto the bottom of the pie crust.
Then, sprinkle 1/2 cup of nuts over the caramel topping.
This will form a delicious, crunchy layer at the base of your pie.
Step 2: Make the Filling
In a large bowl, whisk together the next 5 ingredients until they are well blended.
You can choose any combination of compatible ingredients such as pudding mix, milk, softened cream cheese, or other wet ingredients.
After everything is well-mixed, gently fold in 1-1/2 cups of whipped topping until combined.
Step 3: Assemble the Pie
Spoon the prepared filling into the pie crust over the caramel and nuts layer.
Spread it out evenly to ensure every bite is packed with flavor.
Refrigerate the assembled pie for at least 1 hour to let it set properly.
Step 4: Add Final Touches
Just before serving, top the pie with the remaining whipped topping.
Drizzle additional caramel topping over the whipped topping and sprinkle more nuts or toffee bits for extra crunch and flavor.
Remember to keep the pie refrigerated until you are ready to serve.
