Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups cottage cheese
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 2 cups plain flour
  • Plums, cut into 1-inch pieces (enough to cover the bottom)
 

Step 1: Prepare the Dough

Start by bringing butter to room temperature until it becomes soft and easy to work with.

In a bowl, whisk an egg with sugar until well combined.

Stir in sour cream and the softened butter.

Next, add cottage cheese to the mixture.

In a tablespoon, combine baking soda with vinegar, let it bubble, and then add this solution to the mixture.

Blend the mixture well.

Gradually add flour to the mixture and knead it into a ball.

Place the dough in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes while preparing the filling.

 

Step 2: Prepare the Filling

While the dough is chilling, whisk eggs with sugar in a separate bowl until the mixture is smooth.

Add sour cream and cottage cheese to the egg mixture and blend everything together well.

 

Step 3: Shape the Dough and Add Plums

Remove the dough from the refrigerator.

Press it into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch round springform baking pan, ensuring an even layer.

Wash plums, cut them into 1-inch pieces, and arrange them on the bottom of the dough.

 

Step 4: Add the Filling and Bake

Pour the prepared filling over the plums, spreading it out evenly.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
