Let’s dive in and get cooking!

| Preparation Time | 15-20 minutes |
| Cooking Time | 45-50 minutes |
| Total Time | 60-70 minutes |
| Level of Difficulty | Easy |
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese (I like Tillamook)
- 1 large green bell pepper, chopped (about 1 cup once chopped)
- 2 tsp ground mustard
- 1/2 tsp black pepper (freshly ground preferred)
- 1 large red bell pepper, chopped
- 1.5 cups milk (whole milk recommended for richness)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 8 slices white bread, cut into 1-inch pieces (stale bread works best)
- nonstick cooking spray
- 8 large eggs
- 1 cup diced ham (pre-cooked and cut into 1/2-inch pieces)
Step 1: Preheat Oven and Prepare the Casserole Dish
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Spray a 13 x 9-inch casserole dish liberally with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Set the prepared dish aside for later use.
Step 2: Prepare the Egg Mixture
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, dry mustard, salt, and pepper until fully combined.
Set the egg mixture aside.
Step 3: Combine the Ingredients
In a very large mixing bowl, toss together the diced onion, green and red bell peppers, ham, shredded cheddar cheese, and bread cubes.
Ensure that everything is evenly distributed.
Step 4: Mix and Transfer
Pour the prepared egg mixture over the bread and vegetable mixture.
Stir thoroughly to ensure all the ingredients are well-coated with the egg mixture.
Transfer the combined mixture into the prepared 13 x 9-inch casserole dish, smoothing out the top to ensure an even layer.
Step 5: Bake the Casserole
Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes.
The casserole is ready when it begins to puff up, the top turns golden brown, and the middle is set.
After baking, let the casserole cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Enjoy!
