Perfect for busy nights when you need a quick meal.
Let’s dive into this deliciousness!
Preparation Time | 10-15 minutes |
Cooking Time | 25-30 minutes |
Total Time | 35-45 minutes |
Level of Difficulty | Easy |
Ingredients
- 1 package macaroni and cheese (cooked as per box directions)
- 8 ounces deli ham, chopped
- 8 ounces sour cream
- 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 can peas, drained (15 ounces)
- 1 can corn, drained (15 ounces)
- 1 cup crushed corn flakes
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Start by preheating your oven to 375°F.
This ensures that it’s at the right temperature when you’re ready to bake your casserole.
Step 2: Prepare the Macaroni and Cheese
Follow the instructions on the box to prepare the macaroni and cheese.
Once cooked, drain if necessary and transfer it to a large mixing bowl.
Step 3: Combine Ingredients
In the large mixing bowl with the prepared macaroni and cheese, add all other ingredients except for the corn flakes.
Mix everything well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
Once mixed, transfer the mixture into a 9×13 casserole dish, spreading it out evenly.
Step 4: Prepare the Cornflake Topping
Place cornflakes into a ziplock bag and crush them into a breadcrumb-like texture using a rolling pin or your hands.
Once crushed, sprinkle the cornflakes evenly over the top of the macaroni and cheese mixture in the casserole dish.
Step 5: Bake the Casserole
Place the casserole dish into the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes or until the casserole is heated through and the top is golden.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
Enjoy your delicious baked macaroni and cheese casserole!
