Let’s dive in and spread some holiday cheer!
Preparation Time | 10-20 minutes |
Cooking Time | 5-10 minutes |
Total Time | 15-30 minutes |
Level of Difficulty | Easy |
Ingredients
- 36 oreo cookies
- 16 ounces candy coating (or chocolate melting wafers)
- 1 cup colored sprinkles
Step 1: Prepare Your Workspace
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
This will be used to place the chocolate-covered Oreos as they dry and harden.
Step 2: Melt the Candy Coating
In a saucepan, melt the candy coating over LOW heat, making sure to stir constantly to prevent burning.
Once fully melted and smooth, remove the saucepan from heat.
Step 3: Dip the Oreos
Using a fork, dip each Oreo into the melted candy coating, making sure to cover it completely.
Gently tap the fork against the side of the bowl to remove any excess chocolate, ensuring a smooth finish.
Step 4: Add Sprinkles and Cool
Place each chocolate-covered Oreo onto the prepared parchment paper.
Immediately top with holiday sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet, so they adhere well.
Allow the Oreos to cool and dry completely.
Step 5: Store Properly
Once the chocolate has set and the Oreos are completely dry, transfer them to an airtight container.
They can be stored at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
