- 1.5 cups small pasta (such as ditalini or elbow macaroni)
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese (sharp cheddar works best for flavor)
- 4 bacon slices (cooked until crispy and crumbled)
- 0.5 cup milk
For the topping:
- 1 cup shredded cheese (a good melting cheese like mozzarella or Monterey Jack)
Step 1: Preheat the Oven and Cook the Pasta
Start by preheating your oven to 180°C (350°F).
While the oven is warming up, bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
Add the short pasta and cook it until it is fully cooked through.
Then, drain the pasta and set it aside.
Step 2: Prepare the Bacon and Onion
In a frying pan, cook the finely chopped bacon and onion over medium heat until both are browned.
