Gather Your Supplies
You don’t need fancy cleaners for this hack; just grab the following:
- Baking soda
- White vinegar
- A large ziplock bag or plastic wrap
- A sponge
All of these items are probably already hanging around in your kitchen. If you don’t have them, they’re super easy to find at any grocery store.
Sprinkle Baking Soda
Splash that greasy baking sheet with a generous amount of baking soda. Be sure to cover all those greasy spots.
Baking soda is your best friend here because it’s a mild abrasive and will help lift that stubborn grease without any scrubbing. Easy peasy, right?
Pour White Vinegar
Next, pour some white vinegar over the baking soda. You’ll see it start to fizz and bubble—this reaction is doing the heavy lifting for you.
The fizzing action helps break down the grease while also acting like a mini scrubber. Let this sit for about 10 minutes so it can work its magic.
Wrap It Up
To keep the mixture in place and let it work even more effectively, cover the baking sheet with a large ziplock bag or wrap it with plastic wrap. This will trap the moisture and allow the baking soda and vinegar to keep working for you.
Leave it wrapped for at least an hour.
Give It A Wipe
After an hour has passed, unwrap your baking sheet. Use a sponge to wipe away the now-loosened grease.
Voilà! You’ll see that most, if not all, of the grease just wipes right off without any scrubbing.
Rinse the baking sheet with warm water to get rid of any residue, and you’re done!
