Hey friends!
Got a sweet tooth? You’re in for a treat!
Today, I’m sharing a dreamy recipe for pecan pie fudge.
It’s rich, gooey, and packed with all the flavors of a classic pecan pie, but in a fun fudge form.
Perfect for sharing (or not, no judgment here!).
Let’s dive into this sweet goodness together!
Possible Ingredient Alternatives
Dark corn syrup can be replaced with honey or maple syrup for a more natural sweetener. Use a 1:1 ratio, but expect a slight change in flavor and consistency. Reduce cooking time slightly as these alternatives may caramelize faster.
White chocolate chips can be substituted with milk chocolate chips or butterscotch chips for different flavor profiles. Use the same amount, but be aware that the fudge’s color and sweetness will change. For a dairy-free option, try vegan white chocolate chips.
Evaporated milk can be swapped with coconut cream for a dairy-free alternative. Use the same amount, but expect a subtle coconut flavor. For a lower-fat option, try unsweetened almond milk, reducing the quantity slightly to maintain the right consistency. Adjust cooking time as needed to achieve the desired fudge texture.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup dark corn syrup (118ml)
- 1/3 cup evaporated milk (79ml)
- 3 cups white chocolate chips (510g)
- 3/4 cup icing sugar (85g)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1/4 teaspoon maple flavoring
- 1 1/2 cups finely chopped pecans (141g)
Step 1: Prepare the Baking Pan and Toast Pecans
Begin by lining an 8×8” or 9×9” pan with foil and spraying it with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Toast your pecans either over the stove or in a preheated oven at 350°F.
Once toasted, set them aside to cool completely.
Step 2: Melt the Chocolate Mixture
In a large microwave-safe bowl, mix together corn syrup and evaporated milk until well combined.
Heat the mixture in the microwave on high for 3 minutes.
Once heated, stir in the white chocolate chips until they are fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
Step 3: Add Flavorings and Beat the Mixture
Into the bowl with the melted chocolate mixture, stir in powdered sugar, maple extract, and vanilla extract.
Beat the mixture with a wooden spoon for 1-2 minutes until it becomes thick and glossy.
This will help incorporate all the flavors evenly.
Step 4: Assemble and Chill the Fudge
Spread the thick, glossy chocolate mixture evenly into the prepared foil-lined pan.
Top the fudge with a single layer of the toasted pecans, pressing lightly to ensure they adhere to the fudge.
Place the pan in the refrigerator to chill for at least 2 hours, or until the fudge is firm.
Step 5: Slice and Store
Once the fudge is firm, remove it from the pan and foil, and slice it into squares.
Store the fudge squares in an airtight container to keep them fresh.
Enjoy your homemade maple pecan fudge!
